  Greetings Scholars and Parents,

 M.A.P.S. (Methodology of Academic and Personal Success) is a course designed to assist incoming 9th graders to become acclimated into the high school experience while focusing on study skills, time management, teamwork, and self-confidence. My aspiration as a teacher is to ensure our students are college and/or workforce ready. This school year, we focused on the following aspects:

• Academic Ownership (Interests and Passions, Goal Setting, Organizational Management, Study Habits, and Mental Wellbeing)
• Professional Success (Mapping Out your Career, Displaying Professionalism, Professional Emails, Performing Job Search, Resume Writing, Recommendation Letters, and Preparing for Job Interview) 
• Effective Communication (Preparing a Speech, Effective Communication Process, Develop Introductions and Conclusion, Effective Communication Teams and Resolving Conflict)
• Financial Management (Budgeting, Banking, Loans, Credit Cards and Credit, and Paying for College)
• Civic Responsibility (How to Vote, Reliable Media Sources, Using Research, Successful Mass Movements, and Communicating to Mass Movements)
