My name is Levi Chapman, and I'm honored to serve as the English I Honors teacher within our P-TECH program. I was born and raised in the Dallas area, and I have a deep affection for the enormous and complicated state of Texas. After studying journalism and advertising at the University of North Texas, I pursued a career in advertising. In the years that followed, I reflected on my experience in the ad industry and decided to pursue a job that is more in line with my love of all things literature. Teaching was the ideal route because it allowed me to explore my interests and invest in the broader community. With this path in mind, I returned to UNT and completed a Master's in Education before I began working in the classroom. This will be my second year working alongside the incredible team here at Seagoville High. Throughout the year, I do my best to expose students to a wide variety of reading materials and writing tasks. I work to establish an environment where students feel comfortable thinking out loud. Because our world is complicated and our environment constantly changes, I believe I am responsible for preparing students to investigate those complications boldly and wisely adapt to constant changes. I am so excited to see what this school year brings!
