Parent Involvement

Seagoville High School administrators, counselors, faculty and staff are committed to the philosophy that the greater the parent involvement the more successful the school.  Therefore, Policy has been established to involve parents to the maximum extent possible to ensure a stable, supportive environment exists where parents feel comfortable and highly visible.

 

We acknowledge that all parents want and demand a quality education for their children.  To accomplish this, special enrollment procedures prior to the opening of school are held.  This enables parents to receive all pertinent information related to school rules and policies.  Through various meeting as well as written communication, parents are made aware of the variety of options for each child.  This includes advanced classes, occupational training, extended day Program, and a variety of tutoring services.  Teachers have pledged to keep parents informed of students' progress and options.  Parents are then encouraged to enable their children to take advantage of the variety of options offered.  We believe parents play key roles and that it is their responsibility to ensure their children are utilizing the benefits that are being offered.
